Bonus Session
Well I blogged last night that I would't get a chance to play today as I was pretty busy, but I ended up getting in a short 90-minute session tonight and made a little over a buyin. It kinda sucks because I don't want to leave the great tables I am on, and probably should't, but I feel like I am playing my "B" game, which is slowly slipping into my "C" game cuz I am pretty tired, so it is probably for the best anyways. In all honesty I don't mind locking up yet another small win as they are really building my confidence back and letting me get back in the groove of playing winning poker without it becoming a grind or a bore.
Looking back at tonights session, nothing too crazy stands out. I lost two decent sized pots, one vs a 45/30something over like 10 hands but I could already tell he was uber-fishy, and I had QsTs on a AdKs2s board where I CR got it in vs his AJ...and the other was one I could have avoided had I taken about 2 seconds longer to look at villains stats:

This guy was a standard LAGish type for FR by first glance, 23/17, only a 4% 3bet which is standard, nothing crazy, but I just elected to call with QQ here. On the flop I felt like my range to him hits the shit out of this flop(my range pretty strictly is TT-QQ, AKs) when I raise so I can find out pretty quick what his 1/2 pot bet means by raising, where I think I am gonna get quite a few folds.
Now I think I made two critical errors in this hand:
A. I should have raised way less on the flop, maybe something like $17 that will get the same folds as my raise to $22...
B. I should have looked at his stats a bit more and realized his CB% was 54%, and his PFAgg was 1. Stupid overlook on my part and really bad in this spot because this type of villain just isn't likely going to be blindly firing into a 3bet pot here. I mean he will be sometimes but as an overall play, it just isn't going to be +EV for me to worry about doing anything here but folding.
It's not awful, but just not what I am looking to do. Oh well I don't really care that I lost the pot, just the fact that I overlooked a critical factor in this Villain so I am mostly posting this to cement it in my head and learn from it.
Anyways I am off for the night to relax but I will be playing a session tomorrow morning, lets hope my winning continues.
